A couple of weeks ago I had the amazing fortune of attending the opening ceremonies of the international balloon fiesta in Albuquerque New Mexico for my sweet 16! This event has been in my dreams since I was old enough to write a bucket list and I am so unbelievably excited that I got to finally do it...
My day started off around 4:00 am so that we could be at the festival grounds before the ballons lifted off and we were so lucky as to end up right under the official fiesta balloon.
Then after a few ours of happily enduring the cold the mass ascension began!
Pictures do not do this event justice it is absolutely beautiful and stunning.
Later that evening we went back to see the twinkle twinkle glow show and it was not a let down
I am so fortunate to have gotten to see the balloons light up on the back drop of the night sky
there was even a firework show!
If anyone is considering attending this event I absolutely recommend it!
